Our client, a prominent international payment network, sought to procure an acquirer simulator to test their network hosts. This project included testing their proprietary host network module for various transaction types.

What did we do?

We leveraged our cloud-based host test platform Lithos to simulate acquirers with features like test case creation, test data creation, execution, and real-time validations by integrating this scheme's network ISO 8583 specification and  test case libraries.

We delivered an acquirer simulator with an easy-to-use, seamless user experience with multiple version support.

The features that were included in the host test platform included:

• Provision for multi-user and parallel testing
• Multiple proprietary host network module instances parallel testing
• Centralized monitoring of the host by the scheme
• Over-the-cloud updates of the test case libraries
• Robust access control mechanism

What challenges did we address during this project?

1. We addressed the challenges posed by the time-consuming and error-prone manual test case creation and maintenance by automating the test case creation process.
2. We streamlined the cumbersome process of generating and managing diverse test cases for various issuer and network scenarios.
3. We improved testing throughput and reduced overall testing time using multi-user and parallel testing capabilities.
4. We improved the efficiency of monitoring and updating test cases using over-the-cloud updates for test case libraries.
5. The project's robust access control mechanism addressed security concerns by restricting access based on user roles and permissions.
