Our client, a major global payment network, wanted to test the issuer wallet within the Android payment app of one of its issuing banks. This project included live transaction testing, Lifecycle Management (LCM), and provisioning evaluations.
What did we do?
We helped the customer test one of the production-specific issuer wallets, saving them time, money, and hassle.
We used the issuer's production wallet app and added a live card into the app to check the transaction with a terminal simulator.
The production issuer wallet testing included the following:
- We used a 3rd party terminal simulator and connected it to a dual-interface reader.
- We categorized the test cases to assess application compatibility, wallet installation, card provisioning, transaction execution, and card unlinking in various NFC mobile devices.
- With our experience building the web-based dashboard for our host testing platform – Lithos, and API testing platform – Stratos, we created a comprehensive web-based report dashboard with user management and auto-emailing capabilities to track the results of each test case along with detailed evidence.
- We augmented our resources to perform the live transaction from the issuing bank's production payment app, which is pre-integrated with the SDK wallet of this payment scheme.
What challenges did we address during this project?

- Augmenting resources was crucial for testing this issuer mobile wallet app in real time. The test cases must be rigorously tested at recommended merchant sites and internally, covering Lifecycle Management (LCM) and provisioning functions.
- We built a comprehensive web-based dashboard with user management and auto-emailing capabilities to track the results of each test case from scratch, along with detailed evidence.

Integrating the web-based test repository platform and our on-field resource augmentation service helped the payment scheme reduce its administrative overhead by 80%.
