As a leading bank, we are the only acquirer of a leading global payment scheme in India. When we decided to get our POS testing and certification done for the worldwide payment scheme, we bought the EMVCo-qualified Level 3 test tool, Tecto, from Payhuddle.  

We bought Tecto along with the issuer simulator.  

Our testing was failing consistently, and we wrote many times to the tool support of Payhuddle as well as the support team of the global payment scheme.  

Any amount of troubleshooting from both Payhuddle and the global payment scheme did not help our cause. There was a lot of finger-pointing with no clear solution in sight.  

We were looking at extended certification timelines, which resulted in longer go-to-market timeframes and lower number of transactions. However, we were determined to get this certification done.  

So, we contacted our partner, Payhuddle, from whom we bought the Tecto tool and the issuer simulator. We asked them to help us with the certification.  

Payhuddle’s certification expertise

Payhuddle’s certification experts got involved in the testing process and figured that their issuer simulator was not compatible with the legacy system we were using. Their issuer simulator complied with the latest standards, whereas our switch was using legacy standards.  

This led to the incompatibility, which was the reason for the failed tests.  

Payhuddle suggested that we upgrade our system. This wasn’t easy for us as we have deployed our POS systems to millions of merchants across India and the globe, and they are all using our legacy system for transaction processing.  

So, we went to Payhuddle and checked with them to see if something could be done about this from their end, as we were not sure about upgrading the system on short notice.  

Their experts then built backward compatibility in their issuer simulator to accommodate our needs.

This allowed us to test our POS systems successfully for the global payment scheme, and we have deployed them in the market.
